On May 14, BYD's first pickup truck, the BYD SHARK, was globally unveiled and launched in Mexico City. Positioned as a new energy luxury smart pickup, the BYD SHARK features the DMO super hybrid off-road platform. This launch represents the latest expansion of BYD's product lineup. Developed for the global market, the BYD SHARK combines advanced new energy technology with diverse user needs, marking a significant breakthrough for BYD in the pickup truck sector and setting a new benchmark for Chinese new energy vehicles in international markets.
At the launch event, an immersive display showcased smart experiences and extreme off-road scenarios, creating a "technology off-road playground" filled with exploration fun through sensory interaction. Over 1,000 global partners, media, and customers participated in the event, witnessing the debut of the BYD SHARK.
